"Means you know everything," his dad answered. "Don't worry, I'll tell you what to say. You're just too cute for us to miss this opportunity!"

He found the journal a few months before the Pine children arrived, and at first he didn't understand it at all. He'd been looking for his Christmas presents and found it in the top of his parents' closet underneath his baby photos.

It was old and dusty and filled with weird diagrams. But the more Gideon read, the more intrigued he became, especially when he started trying spells, and they worked. Then he found the amulet, and it worked even better.

He installed cameras all across Gravity Falls, telling Bud that it was to help his psychic act. Really, it was to find the other journals. He didn't have #1, so there must be at least one other. He wanted it, he wanted it more than anything in the world.

And whatever Gideon wanted, he was getting. He also got his Christmas presents two weeks early.
