Paige wasn't home when Nita got back from work, but that wasn't too unusual -- she often dawdled in the library or attended club meetings. Nita started dinner since it was her turn, but she started to get a little worried around four, especially after she ran her familiar pinging spell and received absolutely no reply.
She put down her coffee cup because her hands were suddenly shaking, and flipped open her Manual, letting it fall open to the right page -- the page that showed a brand new entry in the local listings.
Kit! she shouted, knowing that she had probably just given him a headache, but she couldn't care. He must have been in a private place because he appeared in a pop of air, wrapping his arms around her as they sank slowly to the floor.
