Title: teacher's dirty looks
Fandom Discworld
Length: 122 words
Prompt: three sentence ficathon: Discworld, Susan Sto Helit + Death, chaperoning her class's field trip
Pairing: Susan and Death gen
Other: n/a

When he meets her at the classroom door, Susan purses her lips so tightly that they whiten, but she's really trying to make this work, so she says, "Thanks for coming."
Behind her, children cluster, wide-eyed and fortunately not frightened; after a month in Susan's class, it would be hard to say what could frighten them now.
ANYTIME, Death says, attempting to seem casual, something at which he is not at all skilled; Susan grabs her hat and herds the children out of the room, wondering again in the back of her mind why she couldn't get any parent volunteers to supervise this outing - it wasn't too strange, she thought, to visit a local cemetery, full of history and educational decay.
