Most people focused on splitting their magic into safer allotments wouldn't care what their guardians did all day when he was gone, but Eriol cared. He's always been a multi-tasker. Suppi, since he behaved unless I made him play kitchen with me, was allowed to stay home, but Eriol sent me to school.
I didn't mind too much, especially when he bought me a skirt. In England people were always thinking I was a girl, because of my hair, and I couldn't very well change when I had decided to be a male and made people call me "he." This whole androgynous thing is confusing sometimes. Eriol said I might have gender identity problems, but I don't know what those are, so I'll just be whichever sex I want. So for convenience in Japan I let myself be a girl and alleviated problems right off.
Plus, that meant I could try to seduce Kinomoto Touya and steal his magic.
I saw him straight away my first day, walking to school with the moon guardian's false self. That in itself was a surprise, not what Eriol-sama had expected, so I made a mental note to inform him that already things were deviating from the plan. When one's master can see the future and still doesn't predict something like this, it doesn't bode well. Things might not go easily here.
But like I said, I saw Touya-chan right away because his aura was so bright. It was practically blinding. That boy could see spirits, and not only ghosts. That was someone it would be hard to sneak up on.
So that was my first goal, to sneak up on him. My second goal was to take that delicious magic away from him to snack on. I didn't technically need it, since Eriol-sama had more than enough strength to substain me, but sometimes you wanted to taste something different, ne?
Things were off to a rocky start, but Ruby Moon loves a challenge--or rather, Nakuru does. I did everything in my power to get that boy to fall for me--chasing him, teasing him, glomping him, teasing his moon angel--and nothing worked.
That was not according to plan, but it worked out, Eriol said. I don't know. I think I would have enjoyed Touya's magic more than Yue did. He just gulped it down like a starving man. I would have savored it.
Oh well. What can you do when the guy you love loses the thing you love about him? I gave it up as a bad effort and began to focus on another magic-user. This kid had even more magic than Touya!
I was beginning to think the Cardmistress stole him too, though. But I could still make a valiant effort.
"Li-kun! Li-kun, wait up! I wanna be your friend, honestly I do! Nothing to do with that delectable Clow magic at all--I promise!" I shouted as I pelted after him down the street. He might be smaller than me, but he could sure run.
He glanced behind himself, his adorable amber eyes seemingly panicked, and began to run faster. I laughed and followed. Ah, for the thrill of the chase!

This made the corner of my mouth quirk a bit in amusement, yay! (I'm rather tired.) I love Nakuru.
