Excerpt: Yuuko watched the three of them together, watched Clow braid Yue's hair and Kero sit on Clow's shoulder supervising.

Three wasn't a pair, but it worked for them. Whatever his flaws, however ridiculous he was, Clow and Yue and Kero were a family.

Yuuko and Maru and Moro weren't a family. Somehow she'd overlooked personality and they seemed to have split hers between themselves. Yuuko was often in the unique position of being lonely with her two selves as company.

He didn't need to add her to the family dynamic and unbalance everything. Yue was supicious of her. Kero was torn between his brother's and his master's feelings. Yuuko just messed everything up. Clow didn't seem to notice.

Yuuko watched the three of them together, watched Clow braid Yue's hair and Kero sit on Clow's shoulder supervising. Three wasn't a pair, but four made things worse.

She only stayed at the mansion once. It was better to be lonely at her own home.
