Summary: She listens to him try to navigate the hallway in the dark and it makes her smile. Drabblet.

When he started to grow, it was like watching that time-lapse photography they do in documentaries about the life of a flower. Kaho had watched her share of these teaching in elementary school.

It took two years before he achieved his full height, and it was funny to watch him stumble around, she had to admit. It wasn't long before she could imagine his progress from the bed to the bathroom every night, even in the darkness. The first quiet "ouch" came when he banged his knee on the nightstand, the second when he accidentally kicked the doorframe.

When he climbed back into bed she always rolled over and wrapped her arms around him to soothe his hurts. He sighed and went back to sleep.
