"We're just homebodies," Eriol says cheerfully, as he takes a seat onto the couch beside Kaho. Not that we have much choice, she doesn't say, considering the way they think about us. Instead of speaking, she rests her hand in his.

Nakuru comes in with the popcorn and sits onto the floor, cross-legged, and Spinel isn't far behind, settling himself on the back of the couch. Kaho leans comfortably into her boyfriend’s shoulder and turns on the movie.

The outside world doesn't matter much if we can be ourselves here, she thinks, and enjoys a quiet evening with her family.
