Summary: Eriol thinks his wife is the most beautiful girl in the world, and not just because she's carrying his child.

"You're so beautiful, darling," Eriol said, holding Kaho's hair back so she could retch. Her makeup was absent, her face absurdly pale, and she hadn't banished bedhead with the proper product. And yet, to him...

"You're crazy," she said when the nausea subsided. She leaned back on her heels and he carefully supported her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and settled them comfortably on her stomach.

"You're gorgeous," he said, kissing the top of her head and carefully helping her to her feet. "Don't you know that pregnant women glow?"

"Only to their husbands," she said, rolling her eyes. "This is just thousands of years of evolutionary theory saying, 'Yay, I've survived to reproduce!'"

Eriol laughed and gently turned them to face the mirror. There they were, two tired young adults, one with a small belly bulge, the other with dark circles ringing his eyes. It wouldn't have been a flattering photograph, perhaps, but Eriol loved it anyway.

"Aren't you excited?" he said, pulling her hair back out of her face and resting his chin on her shoulder.

"I'm excited for the nausea to stop," she offered, but smiled and leaned back against him.

"Love you," he said, and she tilted her head and kissed him.

"A breath mint would be nice though," he added, and dodged her elbow. This of course developed into tickling and then a repeat of the act which caused her pregnancy. Thankful that it was Sunday, Eriol slipped back into dreamland beside his wife, his hand curled protectively around her abdomen.

He really thought she was beautiful.
