Summary: Tomoyo believes that every cloud has a silver lining. The silver lining to losing Sakura is gaining Syaoran's friendship.

Every cloud had a silver lining, or so Eriol said sometimes. It seemed to be some sort of British expression. The first time he had said it, it took Tomoyo by surprise, but he simply smiled and stated, "That's your philosophy, isn't it, Daidouji-san?"

"I'm not sure, Hiiragizawa-kun," she said, flustered, but she tucked his words away like she usually did (he always said interesting things, that tended to mean more underneath than they did on the surface). One night as she watched Syaoran and Sakura battle yet another Clow-summoned presence, the clouds raced across the sky, like they did before a storm, and she understood.

She always found the good in the situation. Did Sakura rip her costume? Well, it was an excuse to make a new one. Did the Clow-presence escape once again? Well, that just meant Tomoyo would have more adventures to tape the next night.

Sakura's foot slipped, but Syaoran was there to steady her and they fought on, the challenge easily won. Tomoyo saw the look in Syaoran's eyes when Sakura fell, and she wondered what the silver lining would be in giving her Sakura away.

Before she left, Tomoyo whispered, "You should tell her," in Syaoran's ear, making him blush heavily, and as she walked away she smiled. He was a good kid, a loyal friend.

If I have to let her go, at least I'm letting her go into good hands, Tomoyo thought.

It began to rain, but here was an excuse to use her new umbrella.
