Excerpt: She turned over and the sunshine glinted on the silver in Asami's hair.
Korra woke up next to Asami early one summer morning, stretching in the bed and feeling the burn in her muscles, her body which was still fairly spry and obedient to her, even if she couldn't do quite as much as she used to without paying for it later.
She turned over and the sunshine glinted on the silver in Asami's hair, and that's when Korra realized it -- that she was getting old, she and Asami both, and since neither of them had the kinds of jobs they would willingly retire from, they might as well enjoy life while they could.
She kissed Asami's cheek and her shoulder and her neck until Asami woke, sleepy-eyed, smiling, and gorgeous, to kiss her back.
