Summary: Sakura invites him back for graduation, when Eriol thought he would be unwanted. My interpretation of the theme: The little white dragon in Ann McCaffrey's Dragons of Pern series was unwanted. So is Eriol, or so he thinks.

"Please come back for graduation," Sakura said. "I'll send you an invitation. You have to be there, Eriol-kun, it wouldn't be the same without you!"

"I don't know if that's a good idea," Eriol said. He wasn't sure if he could be back in her presence and resist the attraction that had been quietly building for years. On his side, at least. He had no idea how she felt about him.

"Isn't Li-kun going to be there? I'm sure he'd rather be free of my presence," Eriol tried.

There was a long pause. "No, Eriol-kun, he's not." Her voice was shaky. "He didn't want to come."

"I'm sorry," Eriol said, wishing their medium of communication was more personable than the phone. She needed a hug.

"I'll come," he said.

He wasn't surprised when he flew in and her first greeting to him was an embrace. She was almost as tall as he was now and the photograph she'd sent in the invitation hadn't done her justice. She was incredibly beautiful.

He wasn't surprised by the hug, but he was surprised by the kiss that followed, mostly because he quite enjoyed it.

"I couldn't tell you on the phone why Syaoran didn't want to come to my graduation," she said. "It didn't seem right."

She flushed a little bit and then relieved her embarrassment by glomping Nakuru, who was just as excited to see her, and even surreptitiously saying hello to Spinel, who had been tucked into Nakuru's carry-on.

Eriol smiled a little. He'd never dreamed this would happen, but fate seemed to be leading him somewhere new.

"We've got Touya's room fixed up for you. That will work for now, I hope," Sakura said, pulling back and taking his hand. She smiled.

He smiled back and let her lead him to the car.
