"What?" Christopher said, sounding wounded, as his brand new girlfriend scowled.
"Just because you talked me into dating you, it doesn't mean that I want to suck face all the time. I know how you get when you're enthusiastic."
"But I thought that was half the point--"
He stopped mid-sentence, biting his tongue at the look on her face.
"The point is love, you idiot. You don't just randomly snog someone for the first time without asking first," she answered, patting his cheek and getting up from the bench. She smoothed down her skirt and glanced back at him over her shoulder.
"Come on," she said, smiling a little when he sighed heavily.
When he stood, she offered him her hand, and they walked like that, hand in hand, back up to the Castle.
