[Magic Knight Rayearth] let joy be unconfined (Clef/Presea)
Title: let joy be unconfined
Fandom: Magic Knight Rayearth
Length: 229 words
Prompt: Clef/Presea genderbent for
chibidl
Pairing: Clef/Presea
Other: Genderbent as per prompt.
Excerpt: Sometimes Presea wished he were more confident. He was sure this would be easier if he were a lady. He'd be able to talk to Guru Clef without stumbling all over himself
Sometimes Presea wished he were more confident. He was sure this would be easier if he were a lady. He'd be able to talk to Guru Clef without stumbling all over himself and getting distracted by how pretty she was, and how smart, and then there was her particular brand of deadpan humor...
He'd managed to make his way to her table, so that was a start, but it wasn't what he wanted, not exactly. Clef never danced at these celebrations with anyone except for the prince, when he asked, and that made sense, sort of, but Presea thought it must be a little lonely. Clef just sat and watched, and Presea watched her when Princess Ferio wasn't demanding his attention. He thought she'd be a great dancer, though.
He blinked and realized that she'd been speaking. Thin-lipped, she stared at him. He scratched the back of his head and laughed sheepishly.
"Guru Clef," he said, before he could talk himself out of it, "would you dance with me?"
He popped to his feet like a cork escaping, before he could trip over his feet, and offered her a hand. She looked at him for a long moment, seeming surprised, before she smiled a little.
"I'd love to," she said, placing her small hand in his, and he couldn't help his answering grin.
