If Puck were telling the story, he'd start off reassuring the listener that he wasn't really intending to watch two dudes make out. Seriously. But when you saw two people making out, it was always good to figure out who they were in case you could blackmail them later. Besides, the shorter one was wearing a skirt (over pants). What was he supposed to think? He was curious.

So instead of slinking into the music room early as a way to avoid biology class, he lingered outside the door and peered in through the glass. When the couple finally stopped sucking face, the taller one stepped back and then Puck could see him clearly - it was Jesse St. James, that tool, looking like the cat that swallowed the cream. He took a step backward and as the other person took a step forward, Puck could see him too. Yes, him. It was Kurt Hummel, flushed and angry, biting at the bottom of his lip.

Puck was pretty sure that Jesse was supposed to be in California. Not that he paid attention much because the guy had a douche face and was even more annoying than Rachel, but he'd talked about it all the time. What would have brought him all the way back to Lima? Maybe Kurt was pretty by gay standards or whatever, but Puck wasn't really sure it would be worth it. Watching this was definitely better than English class, though. It was like one of his mom's soap operas, except without the sound.

The pair spoke for a few minutes, and then in a blur of movement, Kurt had seized Jesse by the suspenders, shoved him back against the piano, and tugged him down to meet Kurt's lips. It reminded Puck of Santana, oddly, and it took him a moment to realize why - they were both demanding, even if they were the girl in the relationship. It was like they wanted to top, but not to do all the work.

He wondered what charming things Jesse had said to Kurt. Kurt had been the first person to get out of his chair when he found out what Jesse had done to Rachel. He might not like her most of the time (who could? only Finn, as far as Puck was concerned, too dim to get annoyed quickly), but he was loyal. Mostly Puck wondered because he was pretty sure that whatever smooth lines Jesse had would probably work just as well on whatever girl Puck was trying to pick up. No one appreciated Super Mario.

But it was probably something like, "Oh, I never loved Rachel, that was all a ploy to get you to notice me, and I had to win Regionals for Ms. Corcoran's sake, but now I am back because I can't stop thinking about you, yadda yadda, etc." And that was really too specific for what Puck had in mind.

He watched as Kurt messed up Jesse's curls and swiftly redirected any attempts on his own hair, as Jesse picked Kurt up, muscles working in his shirt-sleeves, and set him on the piano to kiss him more thoroughly. They made it halfway to second base (the only reason you put your hands on someone's hips was to start working their shirts off, Puck knew). But then the bell rang, startling them both, and Puck quickly ducked out of their sight, just in case they turned toward the door. He was oddly disappointed, and then he realized why. His body had responded to their urgency, and apparently Puckasaurus Rex didn't care that it was two dudes.

Well, if there was one person Puck never left hanging, it was himself, so he skipped the first ten minutes of Glee for some private time in the bathroom.

It was no big deal, though, because Kurt was even later than that.
