[Glee] jump on (Finn/Tina)
Title: jump on
Fandom: Glee
Length: 217 words
Prompt: bandwagon (lol); Finn/Tina for
fuzzy_paint
Pairing: Finn/Tina; mentioned Finn/Rachel, Finn/Quinn, and Kurt/Finn
Other: n/a
Excerpt: Finn was - by this point, it felt like everyone had taken their turn to crush on him. She'd spent hours half-listening to Kurt moon over his apparent redeemable qualities, more hours listening to Rachel sing about him, and then to Finn's constant fumbling attempts to do right with the world and his mistakes.
Tina did not do bandwagons. Glee was unpopular, goth was unpopular, all of her friends were unpopular - and that was fine. She might be quiet, but she was determined to carve out her own little niche in the world.

It was his mistakes that attracted her to him, in the end (she didn't do bandwagons, but she just couldn't resist). Finn made mistakes, and owned up to them. He didn't mind it when she made mistakes too, like that disastrous first date when she pretended to be someone she wasn't (she just couldn't be Quinn or Rachel; it wasn't her). He listened to her apologies and patted her awkwardly on the arm, and one day she just leaned forward and kissed him instead.
"Wow," he said, eyes wide.
The bandwagon hadn't said anything about his kissing ability, but Tina could help improve that. "Wow," she agreed, smiling back and hoisting her car to the end of that train. She'd see where it led.
