Excerpt: Every time she comes through the door of their hut, his heart skips a beat. It's a little cliche, but it's true. Makeup or no, angry or happy, Sokka doesn't care. It's Suki. She's beaten him up and dressed his wounds, kissed him and teased him, become the most important person in his life.

Well, maybe the second most-important.
"She won't stop crying!" he says, holding the baby out to her like an offering, his face etched with worry, but that worry is relieved when his wife chuckles and takes their daughter from him, her hands certain on the baby's head in a way he fears his will never be.
The baby is still crying, but Sokka's eyes are on his wife, the strength in the curve of her smile, and the sobbing doesn't seem half as awful as it did before.
