morethan4sides 1 sentence fic meme: Kurt/Burt (not romantic), sharing

"Fashion show, Daddy," he answered. "You have to walk straight down the catwalk. And then flip really sudden!"
"She's not doing it right!" Kurt insisted, his lower lip quivering, and Burt sighed a little. He wasn't very good at this. His wife had always been the one to settle the playground squabbles. But he was trying. They were all adjusting.
"I understand that, son, but maybe you can show her the proper way to - what are you doing, again?"
Kurt rolled his eyes in an unintentional but perfect imitation of his mother when she was frustrated.
"Fashion show, Daddy," he answered. "You have to walk straight down the catwalk. And then flip really sudden!"
Burt looked at the blacktop. He'd thought that they didn't know how to properly draw a hopscotch grid.
"Well, play nice. Show her how it's done, okay? But don't make her cry again." He ruffled Kurt's hair.
Kurt sighed again, all tiny diva, and said, "Okay." He pelted back across the playground to his gaggle of girlfriends, and Burt smiled a little when his voice rose above theirs.
"Do you want to be a model or not?" Kurt demanded. "Line up."
He's got a better chance than any of those girls, Burt thought to himself, and the idea made him oddly proud.
