[Final Fantasy VII] On Hold (Tifa gen)
Title: On Hold
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII
Length: 176
Prompt: Icon prompt for
asylumiss.
Pairing: Tifa gen
Other: Pre-canon.
Excerpt: When Tifa joined AVALANCHE, she'd never realized there would be all this... waiting.
When Tifa joined AVALANCHE, she'd never realized there would be all this... waiting. They were a vigilante group, a group of action. So why was there all this waiting around? Barrett said they had to pick their moments, and wouldn't take any dissension about it, so she bit down her impatience and anticipated their next move.
She was beginning to get used to the waiting, even. She ran the bar and watched Marlene sometimes and fighting Shinra was something they did once a week, sometimes once a month, even though beforehand she felt stretched as tightly as a wire, dropping glasses and forgetting orders.
Barrett said she would get over that after a while. Scarred and foul-mouthed, he was a veteran rebel, and everyone trusted his opinion in a tight situation.
She had no idea that when a certain blond man walked into Seventh Heaven that all the waiting would end, that she'd be catapulted into a mess that just kept getting bigger.
But if she had, she would have grinned and said hello anyway.
