"Fugitaka," she purred. He smiled. The bills were pressed to the back of his mind.

"Nadeshiko," he replied, and wrapped his arms around her, resting his chin on her beautifully sculpted shoulder.

"Working on our budget, sweetheart?" she asked, shifting so she could look into his face. Her smile always made him smile, and she loved his easy grins. He nodded, and she kissed him.

"How many kisses are in the budget for the month?" she asked mischieviously, and he pretended to consider.

"We went over budget last month, so we have to cut back this month," he said, and she pouted and kissed him again.

"Then again," he said, lifting a finger as though he were having a revelation, "we could always splurge..."

They always did.
