Crackle Pop Snap (Roxy/Daisy)

Length: 118 words
Prompt: Three-Sentence Fic-a-thon: Dead Like Me, Roxy/Daisy, crackle.

Excerpt: Daisy got so deep under Roxy's skin sometimes that the policewoman wondered if irritation really could translate to attachment.

Daisy got so deep under Roxy's skin sometimes that the policewoman wondered if irritation really could translate to attachment; she was hyper-aware of everything Daisy touched, the crackle of Daisy's personality, the gleam in her ambitious eyes.

One day she leaned over the table and kissed Daisy's peach-flavored lips, just to shut her up, and why she chose that method instead of her usual snark, no one could say, not even her; Rube smiled and George made a disgusted face and Mason cheered (until she kicked him in the balls, anyway).

"Oh," Daisy said, and then, "oh," and Roxy's stomach was sinking into the floor, but she was going to find out what came next if it killed her (again).
