Excerpt: It was strange that, even as a Metamorphagus, she never fit her name, of all things.
She was just Tonks. Really. She shouldn't need to correct anyone unless they knew her father; she just looked like a Tonks.
It was strange that, even as a Metamorphagus, she never fit her name, of all things. She didn't seem nymph-like, ever-- Tonks filled a room with presence even when she wasn't trying. She would be an awful Auror if Moody hadn't patiently taught her how to seem inconspicious.
Tonks-- bright, pink, smart, quick-- too proud to be a queen-- was just proud enough to be herself.
