The morality of bribery went out the window when one considered dogs. After all, bribes were essential to dog-human relations. The thing was, as Ponch's intelligence grew, so did his skill at extortion.
"Mama is saying that I feed you too much," Kit said to the dog firmly ensconced under his desk, breathing happily on his feet.
Never.
"You could find something for me for free, you know. Since I do feed you at regular intervals."
What's the fun in that?
Kit laughed. His dog might be round by the time this mission was finished, but at least he might be satisfied then.
