We've all got our quirks, and commanding officers can be excused more than anyone. No one says anything to Prince Aximili about his odd habits. They know his history.

Poor guy, they say behind his back. His youth on a strange and dangerous planet. He's weird.

But they obey him. They ignore his sulks and his excitements and his insistence on calling that human boy his prince, because the fact of the matter is, Ax did their job when they couldn't. He completed his training.

Still, the newcomers to his ship always wonder how one person could eat so much, and so indiscriminately. Andalites like food, sure, but not like Ax.

Ax is different, and he'll always be different. That's why he volunteers to chase The One.
