The best thing about these official dinners was watching Ax eat. Sure, he showed up in best Andalite regalia, but at some point he always sneaked away and came back with a mouth.
If you've seen the CNN feed and thought that Tobias was sloppy, you should see Ax. His having a human morph was something he tried to keep quiet, because it wasn't quite legal on the Andalite world, but a thoughtful person could spot him from a mile away, jaw working.
It was certainly more interesting than receiving some new accolade. Not that I minded the recognition, but I was coming to think that I would rather we have had that help during the Yeerk War than the cheering afterward.
If Rachel had been here, she would yelled at Marco for starting the foodfight, for example, and I was just glad for an excuse to leave early.
