To Joy (Luke)

Title: To Joy
Length: 382 words
Prompt: Professor Layton Anon Meme: Layton masturbating to classical music (I made a mistake and thought it said Luke XD)
Pairing: Luke/his hand
Other: PG-13 for masturbation
Excerpt: "I have always put Luke to bed around eight," Layton replied, frowning slightly as this older Luke adjusted his cap thoughtfully. "He doesn't mind. I let him listen to music until he falls asleep."

It wasn't a hard piece to learn to play, but it was one of the most valued pieces of music across the world. Layton wasn't surprised when Luke pushed the cassette into the tape player and the Ode to Joy began, softly. It was a recording his teacher had made for him, apparently, one of the few possessions Luke had brought with him for his apprenticeship. He knew the boy still practiced with his violin every Sunday.

"Good night, Luke," Layton said, shutting the door, and Luke smiled.

After Layton left, Luke shut his eyes and lost himself in the music. There was a soft piano part in the background, improvising off the main melody, but even that was most beautiful in its simplicity.

He knew the history of the piece: composed in the last years of Beethoven's life, composed in utter deafness, in fact. He wondered at the composer's skill, his ability to hear without hearing.

His hand slipped under his blanket, and with a sigh, Luke began to stroke himself. He felt his member harden under his gentle touch, and he smiled a little in the dark. This whole idea of self-pleasure was fairly new to him; he thought the professor probably wouldn't consider it very gentlemanly, given the mess it made, but he felt like he needed a physical experience equal to the emotional experience of listening to the Ode. Orgasm was quite joyful, in fact.

He stroked, and he sighed, and he listened, and his breath caught.

"It's early for bed," the other observed when Layton strode back down the stairs and into the sitting room.

"I have always put Luke to bed around eight," Layton replied, frowning slightly as this older Luke adjusted his cap thoughtfully. "He doesn't mind. I let him listen to music until he falls asleep."

Older Luke blinked, and then, oddly, grinned. "The Ode to Joy? It was always his-- my-- favorite."

"Yes," Layton said. "Do you still keep up with violin?" he asked, feeling a little awkward still in the presence of the other.

"Hmm, a little," Luke said, waving a hand in dismissal. The small smile remained on his face.

"It's a wonderful song," he said again, and Layton didn't quite know what to make of that.
