"Like a big friendly dog," Yukito suggested. "A shaggy sort, most likely."

Touya ran a hand through his hair and wondered what Yuki meant by that.

"A dog?" he said.

Yukito nodded and Touya sighed.

"We could play something else, if you'd like, Touya," Yukito said innocently. "I just thought the "If..." game would be interesting."

"These questions are silly," Touya said, picking up the next card. "'If your opponent changed their job, what would they do?' That's almost as useless as 'If your opponent was an animal, what animal would they be?'"

Yukito laughed a little. "Well, what animal did you choose?"

"A rabbit," Touya said.

"Uninventive," Yuki said, cocking his head to one side. Touya imagined him with bunny ears and smiled a little inside.

"We could play Pictionary instead," Yukito suggested, picking up the white board and drawing something on it. "What's this?" he said, turning the board around to face Touya.

He had drawn, in a fit of mischief, Touya with puppy-dog ears. His shoulders shook a little with laughter and Touya pretended to annoyance and affronted dignity. He vowed to get Yukito back for his terrible drawing. Pouncing on his boyfriend, he picked up the smaller boy and slung him over his shoulder in a fireman's carry. Yuki pretended to protest as Touya dragged him into their bedroom and threw him on the bed, promising unnamed torture, but he smiled.

Touya really was like a dog. His bark was worse than his bite.
