Yue never quite knew what to think about Touya. He'd slept through most of their courtship, after all. He'd woken with Touya a stranger, already the most important person to Yukito.

He felt, to be honest, a little cheated by this. Were he in control of his false form, like Ruby Moon was, he would have stuck to loving Clow forever. Or perhaps, he hesitated to think, he would have eventually come to love the mistress (as Clow had planned, how that stung), or even Eriol, Clow-again that he was.

But Yue kept silent and let Yukito live their life, since he was pretty good at it. And after a while, he began to see Clow in Touya.

Clow had never been a perfect man. He was prone to sulking, if he was working through a problem, and he had difficulty expressing his deepest feelings. His serious eyes sometimes twinkled with amusement, and his love for his (created) family ran deep.

Touya had all of these qualities-- he wasn't the same man, by any means, but he was, perhaps, someone Yue could respect.

Sometimes in the right light, they had the same eyes, and so he was, perhaps, someone Yue could learn to love.
