Excerpt: She was eight and riding her bike down the street and she was happy until she hit the beautiful blonde woman.
Kohaku made Kaoru realize that she was gay. Not that she recognized it at the time. She was eight and riding her bike down the street and she was happy until she hit the beautiful blonde woman.
"I'm so sorry," she said, her voice squeaking, and she hated that, she already felt like her voice should be deep and right for her. The blonde woman smiled so sweetly that Kaoru stopped breathing for a moment.
"It's my fault. I should have been watching," Kohaku replied, setting Kaoru back to her feet and the scrape on her knees faded without her quite noticing, because she was lost in Kohaku's topaz eyes and her soft sweet smell. She was in love.
"Have a wonderful day," Kohaku said after a moment, sending her gently down the street with a pat on the back, and Kaoru ran into a tree trying to catch one last glimpse.
