It was a small girl, with white-blonde hair as tall as she was, and currently, her head was pressed into the shoulder of a broad-shouldered Japanese man, who looked panicked.

"Does anyone speak Japanese?"

The woman's voice was loud and panicked and Cameron recognized the tone. It called to her inner doctor. She knew no Japanese at all, but she rose without hesitation and moved forward in the cabin. Looked like this wouldn't be an uneventful plane ride after all...

The flight attendant was relieved to see someone who looked competent and quickly moved aside to let her see to the sick person. It was a small girl, with white-blonde hair as tall as she was, and currently, her head was pressed into the shoulder of a broad-shouldered Japanese man, who looked panicked.

"Sir, do you speak any English?" Cameron asked slowly. "What is her name?"

"Chi," he replied, looking a bit confused. Well, it was progress.

"What is wrong?"

It took a few more gestures to convey this one, but a quick examination of the girl revealed that she was unconscious and sweating heavily. Her heart was racing and there was a rash beginning to work its way across her arm. Eschewing modesty, Cameron unbuttoned Chi's shirt to check for a continuation of the rash. She wasn't wearing a bra, which seemed to embarrass the Japanese man further, and he flushed deeply. Chi's breasts were small and white and perfect, but Cameron didn't think about that. She'd had enough of getting emotionally involved in patients.

On one limp hand Chi was wearing a beautiful ring. Its mate hung around the Japanese man's neck, and for a moment Cameron felt an odd rush of disappointment.

But she wasn't going to get emotionally involved. She did her job.
