Swan Necks (Jenny/Kaho)
Title: Swan Necks
Crossover: The L Word
Length: 199 words
Prompt: icon meme: Jenny/Kaho
Pairing: Kaho/Jenny; past Marina/Jenny
Other: n/a
Excerpt: "It's your necks," Marina explained. "You have that same elegant neck as she does. And that curious look."
After Kaho and Jenny had been together a while, Marina said to Kaho, "You two look alike."
Kaho smiled and nodded. It was a strange compliment. She'd never thought that she really looked like Jenny. But Marina saw things. She knew it was true. There was a hint of magic smoldering in her blood and in her eyes. Before Jenny had gotten the courage to speak to her, Kaho had been considered asking Marina to teach her Italian. She could never know enough languages.
"It's your necks," Marina explained. "You have that same elegant neck as she does. And that curious look."
Kaho nodded again. She knew that Marina had been with Jenny. Neither of them had told her, but she knew. There was something in the way they looked at each other.
And because she knew, she left Marina in the kitchen and found Jenny in the front room. Shane was beating her at poker. Of course, Shane was always beating everyone at poker, so no one was really bothered.
Kaho sat down beside Jenny and buried her face in her neck. Jenny was a bit surprised, but she smiled and stroked Kaho's hair.
"Love you baby," Jenny murmured, and Kaho smiled and nodded.
