Excerpt: "Are you ready to go?" Takaya said, and Tomoyo reached out and took the angel's hand.
"You're my angel?" Tomoyo asked again, enjoying the way Taki's eyes crinkled as she smiled and nodded. The angel's hair was dark purple-black. She was willowy and thin, but short. If she were to land on the ground, Tomoyo thought, she would be taller than her. There was something endearing about it.
"Are you ready to go?" Takaya said, and Tomoyo reached out and took the angel's hand. As long as she could hold tight to that, she wouldn't be scared of death.
