Excerpt: The determined look in his eyes was so thrilling. She sucked at her dentures and climbed the stairs.
He cut a fine figure, the top-hatted man did. He was astonishingly good at puzzle-solving. And he still had all of his teeth.
How could she resist?
She followed him into the tower without hesitation, just to see what he'd do. And she watched in the background as he defeated each puzzle, effortlessly unlocking doors she knew others had struggled over for days before giving in. The determined look in his eyes was so thrilling. She sucked at her dentures and climbed the stairs.
It was a shame he was always in such a hurry, couldn't stop to talk a while. She could probably seduce him if she had a little bit of time to work her magic. (And the apprentice, he would have to go when they were married. She wasn't so fond of children anymore.)
The professor strode forward and she followed, eyes locked on a certain target above his well-turned knees and below his firm back. It was always good for a girl to have goals.
"Oh, Layton~!" she trilled in anticipation, and his shock was worth the climb.
