Summary/Notes/Warnings: They lived on love. It was good for the budget.

"I made your bento~!" she said cheerfully. Her smile could only be answered by his own happy grin. She handed him the lunch and waited for him at the door. Then they left together.

Someone watching them might think of newlyweds in the first blush of love, or maybe even an affectionate father with his daughter, since she was in uniform and he a teacher. Before long, she slipped her hand into his and he had to smile again. It didn't take much to make Fujitaka happy, which was a good thing, since they didn't have much. Their bento might be made of the cheapest lunch items, but they matched and she had made it for him.

It wasn't economical, how much the little things that she did provided him so much happiness. They never tried to put their love on a budget, Nadeshiko had said once, because neither of them would be able to manage it!

He taught history and he knew from the past how deep and long and beautiful love could be, far beyond the yen they saved each week towards a small house, somewhere nice to raise their children. They lived on love.

Wasn't that economical?
