Excerpt: "Freud wanted to do his mother," Juno said dismissively. "Obviously he is a great psychological mind." She thought a moment and then asked, "What's it like to read someone's mind?"

"This is pretty wicked, Juno," Leah said. "Not gonna lie. You have enough in your head to be best friends with Freud."

"Freud wanted to do his mother," Juno said dismissively. "Obviously he is a great psychological mind." She thought a moment and then asked, "What's it like to read someone's mind?"

Leah concentrated for a moment. "Like reading a book with pictures," she said. And then, "Oh, you did not just think that about Bleeker. My childhood is utterly ruined."

"What childhood?" Juno asked, thinking harder.

"Dude, Junebug, that's stuff I don't want to know. Keep it down in there or something. Oh, and that? That is not remotely funny, okay? I do not have a complex because I think Keith is hot."

"All I can say is, glad I'm not in your head," Juno replied, grinning. She leaned back against the grass.

"Juno, that... was sick and wrong."

"Maybe you'd better figure out how to turn your amazing powers off, then."

"Will do!" Leah said swiftly. "Aye aye, Captain."

"I think it's a cool power, though," Juno said thoughtfully. "Imagine if I could read Bleeker's mind."

"You probably never would have dated him," Leah pointed out.

"Yeah, probably," Juno said lazily, looking up into the sky and imagining him naked.

"That's it!" Leah said, standing up and brushing herself off. "I'm going to go ask my mom how to fix psychics."

"Good luck, my friend," Juno replied, "and many happy dreams."

"Yeah," Leah said dryly. "I'm glad that I don't live in your head."

"Me too," Juno replied. "It would get crowded in here."
