The threads of fate that bind us together are hopelessly skewed. You have me tied as surely as the rope was real. I am not very interested in freeing myself.

No one was ever bound as closely (as carefully) as we are. Clow wove the threads, but some twisted. He never expected me to feel this attraction, nor, arrogant as he was, that I might want to be my own person.

The threads that bind us are so strong that I know I will never escape you. You will always haunt my nights; I will always be bound to you.

Summary: Eriol's house is big and lonely until she comes to visit.

The house is too big; it feels lonely at night. There are many rooms I have never entered (the master bedroom-- I do not want to share the bed with his memory).

It is a big lonely house, but when she comes to visit I become extravagant: lighting candles, throwing a party. It feels so much more like a home with her here.

I wonder sometimes why Clow was satisfied to live in that house with only two companions. A woman's touch could go a long way.

I cannot ask her to live with me, but sometimes I want to.
