Excerpt: Nakuru doesn't love him. At least, not in the way Yue loved Clow.

Nakuru doesn't love him. At least, not in the way Yue loved Clow, and by this point, Eriol considers this fact to be a good thing. She crawls into his lap and strokes his hair and he doesn't say that she's too heavy or that she's in his space.

Nakuru loves him as a brother, as a father, as a friend. Eriol didn't manufacture this love-- he knew better, this time, than desperately lonely Clow, and if nothing else, this problem has been repaired in the newer model (he doesn't think of her like that, he promises).

Nakuru learns to love him on her own, and that's what matters to him now.
