Excerpt: He didn't want to be here now, when the spirits were coming out to play and memories hung thick in the air.

Sunset at Tsukimine Shrine was a beautiful sight to behold. It also felt lonely to Touya. He didn't want to be here now, when the spirits were coming out to play and memories hung thick in the air.

How many sunsets had he watched with Kaho, sitting here on a bench next to a tall woman in shrine maiden garments? Not enough, he had felt when she left, and he didn't walk by the shrine in the evening after that.

"You okay, To-ya?" Yukito asked. The concerned look on his face showed that Yuki was reading his mind again in that exasperating way of his. Touya didn't always know what Yuki was thinking, so why did Yuki always know about Touya?

"The sunset is nice," Touya said, and Yuki nodded. Almost inperceptively he began to draw away from Touya, to walk a little behind, a little further right, but Touya reached out and grabbed his hand, lacing their fingers together.

"Let's sit down," Touya said, leading Yuki to a familiar bench, from where the view was best. Between his concern, Yuki was enjoying this. After his fifth glance at Touya, Touya laughed and put his arm around Yuki's shoulders.

"Let's make some new memories in this place," he suggested, and Yukito nodded. The pair sat there and watched the sun set, and Touya thought it was the most glorious thing he'd seen in a long time.
