He wondered when he saw her, why Clow had never considered flight in that way. The magician had in fact rarely flown, rarely taken advantage of the sky's glory. He had created Fly for her sake, only.

What an idea, Eriol thought with true wonder, watching her dart through the night sky. His own creations clung close, Spinel blending in the darkness. They were butterfly-winged, delicate in that way, that there were no sinews and muscle to support them. That was what he wanted now--

A fairy princess, he thought, and that was the moment he was lost to her.

Summary: When Eriol can't sleep, he plays piano, and Sakura listens.

I lay there at night alone when he is feeling out of place, listening to the piano. Some nights he plays for hours, restless and unsettled.

I tell him he is more than Clow, and he answers that I am too perfect, and this must be a dream, because he is barely his own person and only real people earn real love.

I listen to him play and wait for him to come back to bed. He always mumbles, "If I'm dreaming, never let me wake. If I'm awake, never let me dream." And I reply, "I'm not a dream."
