Summary: Eriol and Yamazaki have been spending a lot of time behind closed doors lately, and Chiharu is suspicious... Are they going to do something at Sakura's wedding?

Generally, she wouldn't consider Eriol's actions to be suspicious behavior, but when he came to visit with Takashi regularly and the door remained firmly closed, Chiharu began to wonder. He had picked up on Takashi's storytelling awfully quickly...

It wasn't suspicious that he was back in town, of course, all of their elementary chums were here for Sakura and Syaoran's wedding. But it wasn't as though Eriol had even kept in touch with Takashi over the long period he had been gone. She didn't want to confront him and lose his good graces, so she tried Takashi. He blew her off with one of his famous stories.

So Chiharu tread lightly until the day of the wedding. Surprisingly, nothing strange happened. The service was beautiful and it went off without a hitch. Eriol and Takashi looked great in their suits as Syaoran's groomsmen.

Chiharu had begun to dismiss their behavior as simply boys catching up when Eriol rose to do the toast at the reception. (And the fact that he was the best man was odd, seeing the way that Syaoran was glaring at him; she supposed Sakura had talked him into it.)

"My dear friends," Eriol announced. "We are here to celebrate the joining of two people who are very dear to us. I'd like to make a toast in their honor. But first, there is something else. Yamazaki-kun and I have been talking this past week--"

Chiharu's eye twitched and she tried to find her boyfriend at the head table, so she could glare at him and perhaps get him to stop whatever this was he was planning to do, but she couldn't find him. That was worrisome in itself.

"--and we decided that this would be the best occasion to celebrate another couple's love. Syaoran and Sakura have already indicated that they don't mind," Eriol continued, nodding to the bride and groom. Sakura was grinning, and Syaoran seemed content, so Chiharu subsided a little. But then again, they were always fooled by Takashi's stories--

"And so I agreed to let Yamazaki-kun interrupt my toast to say something to his beloved girlfriend," Eriol said, bowing out of the spotlight, and Takashi stepped into it. And hit one knee.

"Mihara Chiharu, will you marry me?" he said, and Chiharu gasped and said yes and jumped up to hug him. Everyone was clapping (but in the back of her mind Chiharu was satisfied-- they had been up to something, she hadn't lost her mind yet!).
