[Frozen/Tangled] questions we haven't yet figured out how to ask (Elsa/Rapunzel)

Title: questions we haven't yet figured out how to ask
Fandom: Frozen/Tangled
Length: 130 words
Prompt: three sentence ficathon: Frozen/Tangled, Elsa/Rapunzel, power
Pairing: Elsa/Rapunzel pre-femslash
Other: n/a

Excerpt: The queen and the princess lay down on Elsa's bed, bare feet dangling off the side, and talk.

Elsa hasn't had a sleepover since she roomed with Ana, and that hardly counts to her mind, so it's not surprising that she's too excited to sleep when she and Rapunzel finally go to bed; the queen and the princess lay down on Elsa's bed, bare feet dangling off the side, and talk.

"It's funny," Rapunzel says dreamily, as conversation runs out and sleep begins to slide in-between them, "that love helped you control your powers, because it worked the exact same way for me."

Her hair is spiked up in back and Elsa almost wants to stroke it, but she plays with her braid instead and says, "Sometimes I dream about letting go again," and Rapunzel mumbles what might be agreement, her body warm and solid next to Elsa's.
