The Millennium Falcon was the most beautiful ship Han had ever seen, maybe not on the outside, though she was gorgeous, but the speed -- he told Lando he was lying about her capabilities, and Lando had been so offended for his lady's honor that he'd taken Han out flying, so Han knew firsthand.
He had to have that ship, Han decided, no matter what it took; he thought on it for ages and then began to practice his sabacc game.
Whenever he climbed aboard the Falcon for the first time as its owner and slid into the pilot's seat, it was worth every credit he'd lost in previous games: she was perfect.
