I just had to comment on this story. Besides being really well written, in character and funny, you handled the complicated sexuality situation excellently. My partner and I (of 7 years) have a similar relationship and are still struggling with what to tell people. Half of the people I know think we're best friends and the other half think we've been dating. This is the first time I've seen anything remotely close and/or believable. Thank you for treating this sort of thing with humor AND respect.
