[Glee] bicycle built for three (Kurt/Finn/Rachel)
Title: bicycle built for three
Fandom: Glee
Length: 371 words
Prompt:
morethan4sides 1 sentence fic meme: Kurt/Finn/Rachel! harmony
Pairing: Kurt/Finn/Rachel
Other: n/a
Excerpt: Look, two months ago, Finn would have agreed with you and said that dating both of them at once was just asking for disaster. He cheats off a girl who thinks the square root of four is rainbows, but he recognizes this. Kurt and Rachel are similar in all the wrong ways, and they they sharpen themselves on each other.
Look, two months ago, Finn would have agreed with you and said that dating both of them at once was just asking for disaster. He cheats off a girl who thinks the square root of four is rainbows, but he recognizes this. Kurt and Rachel are similar in all the wrong ways, and they they sharpen themselves on each other.
If nothing else, Rachel would need a whole new wardrobe.
But the thing is, the really weird thing, is that they have at least one thing they can agree on, and that's him. And that makes him feel a little bit pressured but also kinda like a stud, even more than Puck, who is impossibly jealous (even if some of the ass that Finn is getting isn't female, "having a threesome" still tops his to-do list).
And if they can agree on Finn, they can find other things to agree on. He accompanies them to the mall and carries bags while Kurt makes Rachel practically unrecognizable, but in a good way. And he listens in amazement as she attempts to help him with a solo that he really doesn't need help with; the amazement is that Kurt is actually patient with it for a while. They all three have planners now, and at first Finn feels absurdly like the child of divorced parents; he doesn't get to arrange his schedule himself. Kurt has Sundays, Rachel has Saturdays, and on Friday nights they usually see movies together, all three of them. (The movies have less violence and sex in them than Finn usually likes, but he can put an arm around each of them in the theater and doze lightly, and he really likes that. Plus, neither of them want to share his popcorn.)
The Glee Club thinks it's weird. His mom and Burt and Rachel's dad think it's weird. Kurt stares at his nails and says that putting up with Rachel is worth it, but he smiles a little so Rachel knows that he's not really trying to hurt her. Rachel gives everyone a speech about how sexuality is flexible and relationships aren't always easy to categorize.
Finn just grins a lot and hopes that he doesn't wake up any time soon.
