[Good Omens] Rainbows (fem!Crowley/fem!Aziraphale)
Title: Rainbows
Fandom: Good Omens
Length: 193 words
Prompt: Genderbent fic: Crowley/Aziraphale for
beansidhe_baby
Pairing: fem!Crowley/fem!Aziraphale
Other: In which they've both always been female. Take two~ Discussions of homophobia.
Excerpt: "Do you have any idea what lesbian means?" Crowley asks, and when Aziraphale repeats her theories about Lesbos, Crowley rolls her eyes and explains.
In the 1970s, Crowley begins to take her hand in public. It's probably another cultural revolution, Aziraphale thinks; either that, or a sudden surge of hatred for Greeks. Even after eating Greek salads, she doesn't think they deserve the abuse.
She mentions this to Crowley. "Do you have any idea what lesbian means?" Crowley asks, and when Aziraphale repeats her theories about Lesbos, Crowley rolls her eyes and explains.
"You mean they don't understand that's normal?"
"It's become a bit of a mess," Crowley says, with a slight hint of pride.
"It's about time we got back to the "love everyone" idea," Aziraphale says thoughtfully, ignoring Crowley. "This might just do it."
"I was thinking schisms, actually," Crowley answers. "Downstairs is encouraging violence and dissension. The usual, you know."
"Oh, but humans," Aziraphale says, with a knowing nod, "they put a lot of stock in love."
"And their Bibles," Crowley answers. "Come on, I want to buy some rainbow ribbons and cut my hair short."
"Why do I get the feeling that I'm not going to like this?"
"You like rainbows, right? Everyone likes rainbows."
Later, Aziraphale was amazed by how untrue that fact was.
