[Juno/Arrested Development] Currently Deactivated (George Michael/Juno)
Title: Currently Deactivated
Fandom: Juno/Arrested Development
Length: 484
Prompt: Domesticity meme: George Michael/Juno, Wednesday afternoon after a violent thunderstorm for
tyy_tad
Pairing: George Michael/Juno; past Pauley/Juno mentioned
Other: PG for sexual references
Excerpt: So she hung out there and pretended to suck off bananas until he blushed, and then she asked him out. His hand in hers felt almost familiar. It felt right.
He wasn't Pauley, but--
No one was Pauley. Juno just had to face it. No matter how much she searched for an awkward kid who played guitar like crunchy toast, she wasn't going to find another one. Plus, she really only fell in love with Bleek after she got pregnant, and that wasn't something she was looking to repeat. She already had to give up bikinis for the rest of forever due to stretch marks, and she'd used the coconut butter stuff and everything. It really sucked, moving all the way to California and having to wear grandma swimsuits.
So there was this kid. He was oddly quiet in a way that made him stand out in a vibrant place like this. You had to have some respect for a kid who worked in a banana stand.

George Michael had no interest in sex, or at least didn't dare to say so. He had future businessman written all over him (in Sharpie, on his arm, when Juno was bored). Juno was trying to corrupt him, but not in any sexual ways because, hello, stretch marks. Just with good music and less straitlaced tendencies. So they actually worked pretty well together, even if his dad couldn't remember her name (he kept calling her Jenny and giving her weird looks, but for once she'd met someone with a weirder family than hers, so she hardly cared).
So they came up with other distractions than doing the nasty. One of Juno's favorites was drinking rain. California thunderstorms were nothing most of the time-- just a few minutes of pouring rain, a few sad clouds, and then a rainbow. So on a Wednesday afternoon when they didn't even have the energy to make fun of "Two and a Half Men," Juno pulled George Michael onto the porch and then forced him to lay down next to her and appreciate the storm.
"Rain is getting up my nose," George Michael protested, snorting. Juno rolled her eyes and then on top of him. She drew patterns on his face with a finger while he sputtered and water dripped out of her ponytail, down her shoulder, to splatter onto his chest.
"Chill out, George Michael, this is clearly a romantic experience. We could kiss like in Spiderman."
His eyes crossed in a manner that suggested he was considering it, or possibly not getting the reference. She grinned and kissed the corner of his mouth and the rain stopped pounding at her back. So she dragged him to his feet.
"Let's go get a banana," she said, swinging their arms. "We can dry off on the way."
"I, um," George Michael hesitated, "okay." Juno smiled at him.
"Maybe one day I'll show you my technique," she whispered in his ear, and he squeaked.
