Hello (Syaoran/Sakura)

Title: Hello
Author/Artist: rhap_chan
Pairing: Li Syaoran/ Kinomoto Sakura
Fandom: Cardcaptor Sakura
Theme: 07. hello, goodbye
Disclaimer: Cardcaptor Sakura belongs to CLAMP.
Summary: Sakura and Syaoran are too entangled by fate for goodbye to mean forever.
Too soon after I said hello, I was saying goodbye. She was unhappy with the hello and worse with the goodbye.
I just couldn't win, could I?
I said hello with anger; I said goodbye with sadness. She didn't try to make me love her, but I did anyway.
You had me from hello--
That's not quite true. Perhaps it is that she had entangled me when we met. It was fate, somehow, that she would touch me and things would change.
Eriol had said that there were some things Clow couldn't predict, but I didn't believe him exactly. Tomoyo saw this coming, and she had no magic powers whatsoever.
Maybe it's simply that she was a girl, and she could read deep motivations? Who knows?
I began to help her because she had the sealing wand. I continued to help her because I cared. From the beginning-- from the moment I saw her-- we were bound together.
I was leaving, and cutting the threads, and pulling myself away so her non-response didn't hurt me so badly. Still, I would miss her.
When she came to meet me I was shocked and pleased. She thrust that bear into my hands and I saw in her eyes a mirror of my affections. She cried and I wanted to wipe the tears away, but I simply had to wave as I left. I would come back.
No one said goodbyes had to be forever, after all.
