[Cardcaptor Sakura] A Different Kind of Lonely (Syaoran gen)
Title: A Different Kind of Lonely
Fandom: Cardcaptor Sakura
Length: 178 words
Prompt:
18coda: #11, rubato
Pairing: Syaoran gen
Other: n/a
Excerpt: How lucky he was to be able to steal away, he thought. He was laying on his bed in the twilight watching the sun slant through the window. It cast a butter gold sheen on the pale wall and he lifted his hand and made shadow puppets for his amusement. After a moment he felt silly and put his hands down again. He shut his eyes.

At home, quiet time like that was virtually nonexistent. His sisters were much too nosy for their own good and his mother was always in his affairs. There were school lessons and martial arts lessons and every minute in-between Meiling was in his presence.
Here there were more girls, of course--that annoyingly polite Daidouji-san and one couldn't forget that silly girl who had opened the Clow book. The Cardcaptor a girl! And such a spastic one! That brother of hers could be a problem, though.
He shook his head and banished thoughts of Kinomoto from his head. He shut his eyes instead and surrendered himself to this wonderful kind of loneliness.
