Pairing: Kurogane gen
Other: Basically the TRC characters transplanted into the Wish world. Apologies for brain-breaking.
Excerpt: "Master Kurogane," a blond cat purred in his ear.
"Master Kurogane," a blond cat purred in his ear.
"Master Kurogane," his twin said, butting his head along the demon's jaw. Kurogane awoke with a start, turning irritated red eyes on the cats. They both leapt into his lap and rubbed their heads against his arms until he gave in and petted them.
Kurogane grunted. He'd been enjoying that nap. "What?" he asked grumpily.
"We found Sakura!" Fai purred. Kurogane blinked.
"Good," he said. Yuui frowned. He leaned up on his back paws, treading the air for a moment before resettling himself on Kurogane's lap more insistently. Kurogane scratched behind his ears as a victorious expression rose on his own face. They'd found Sakura for him, then.
"And something else," Fai purred, rolling over on top of his brother. Kurogane watched the ensuing playfight for a minute before grabbing them both by their scruffs and pulling them apart. They dangled sullenly for a moment before squirming up onto each of his shoulders. Fai's tail tickled his neck. Yuui's nose teased his ear. Kurogane twitched.
"What else did you find?" he asked.
"The Angel Master Clow is missing from Heaven!" they both exclaimed triumphantly. Kurogane sat up straight in his show, dislodging both his minions.
"An Angel Master is missing?" He smiled a little. Fai and Yuui made little hurt noises, which he ignored.
The Hell Princess Yuuko might find that information interesting. (Even if he hated dealing with her.) But first things first.
"Where did Sakura go?" he asked the cats, rising from his perch, and he followed their guide. He could call Yuuko after his business with Sakura was done, after all.
He had to balance his opportunities.
