The Greatest Adventure (Clow/Yuuko)

Title: The Greatest Adventure

Excerpt: Clow and Yuuko fought constantly, in a way that was almost affectionate. They stayed up until dawn drinking and fell asleep in the middle of pointless arguments.

You might have called it rivalry. Cerberus tended to call it "the future cause of the end of the world," but only very quietly.

Clow and Yuuko fought constantly, in a way that was almost affectionate. They stayed up until dawn drinking and fell asleep in the middle of pointless arguments.

They were always attempting to outdo each other: each attempting to drink more, do stronger magic, find greater treasures. When one would get ahead, the other would catch up. Yue thought that alone they might have accomplished little, but by bouncing off of each other, they accomplished much.

"The end of the world," Cerberus said back, dodging away from Yue's glare like it were a real attack. "You wait."

In fact, he began to doubt his own theories when Clow told him about the Mokona project. Yuuko and Clow were putting all differences aside to do this job.

"They'll be little children," he said cheerfully. "You should treat them as your siblings."

Kids. Well, that was one way to domesticate wild magicians, Cerberus thought.

That is, until the Mokona expressed their interest in the drinking games.

"The end of the world," Cerberus said to Yue-- not bothering to be quiet, because the party in the other room was singing four different songs between three people, and only Clow and Yuuko had bothered to find similar keys to sing in.

"Yeah," Yue agreed with a shudder.
