Closeted Robos (Bender/Fry)

Title: Closeted Robos
Fandom: Futurama
Length: 259 words
Prompt: [livejournal.com profile] comment_fic: Futurama, Bender/Fry, Leela knows they're a couple
Pairing: Bender/Fry
Other: n/a
Excerpt: Besides, being robosexual is a little more acceptable now than it was in the 2950s, and they almost never arrest anyone for it anymore.

The thing about Bender and Fry trying to fake something is that they don't realize how stupid they actually are. It takes ten minutes for Leela to see through their facade, and that's an hour before she catches them in the broom closet, flailing about like the idiots she knows they are.

"We're sweeping!" Bender says, flailing his arms.

"In the closet!" Fry adds quickly, his voice high.

She slams the door on them. After a moment, Fry sighs.

"I think she bought it," he says.

"When you're finished sweeping the closet," Leela growls from outside the door, "clean the ship. There's still giant mosquitos squished on the windshield from our trip to RV-7, the vacation planet."

She stalks off, sighing to herself. She'd known the moment they walked in this morning, partly because of the way they forgot to let go of each other's hands when the door opened, and partly because this had been coming for a long time. There is no other way it could have gone. Besides, being robosexual is a little more acceptable now than it was in the 2950s, and they almost never arrest anyone for it anymore.

Of course, that doesn't mean she won't take advantage of them for a while. Maybe they'll actually do a decent job cleaning the ship if they think she'll tell their co-workers what exactly they were doing in the broom closet.

That is, she thinks, as she hears the noises begin again behind her, if she can get them out of the closet in the first place.
